The Dr. Samba Reddy Lab focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of epilepsy and related neurological disorders through innovative, clinically translatable research. Led by Professor D. Samba Reddy, a board-certified pharmacist-pharmacologist with more than 25 years of experience in drug discovery and neurotherapeutics, the lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying brain disorders and develops novel therapies aimed at preventing disease onset and progression.

Our multidisciplinary work integrates pharmacology, neuroimaging, electrophysiology, molecular neuroscience, bioengineering, and artificial intelligence to address major challenges in epilepsy and chronic neurological conditions. Key research areas include neurosteroid-based therapies, epigenetic and cannabinoid approaches, and AI-driven treatment strategies for disorders such as epileptogenesis, status epilepticus, post-traumatic epilepsy, and chemical neurotoxicity.
