Doodipala Samba Reddy, PhD, RPh, is University Distinguished Professor & Regents Professor of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine and Director of the Texas A&M Institute of Pharmacology and Neurotherapeutics. A board-certified pharmacist and internationally recognized pharmacologist, he has established a globally recognized translational research program focused on epilepsy, brain injury, and neurotherapeutics at Texas A&M. His research has been continuously funded by the NIH for 23 years, and he leads multiple projects supported by the NIH, DOD, and federal agencies.

Dr. Reddy is a pioneer in neurosteroid therapeutics whose discoveries contributed to the development of two first-in-class FDA-approved medicines: ganaxolone for pediatric epilepsy and brexanolone for postpartum depression. He has authored more than 250 scientific publications, five textbooks, and numerous patents, with an H-index of 67. He has mentored over 100 trainees and delivered more than 175 invited lectures worldwide. Ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists, Dr. Reddy is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Epilepsy Society (AES), and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), and has received numerous national and international awards recognizing his outstanding contributions to neuroscience, pharmacology, and public health.
